How can a Neuropsychological Evaluation help you?

Our practice is fully grounded in the neuroscience of brain function and the discipline of Neuropsychology. All of the procedures and techniques we use are well established and tested scientific methods. Our lead clinician is a well published neuropsychological practicioner and scientist, a board certified Neuropsychologist, a former Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience and an international expert on the diagnosis and treatment of various dementia's and neuropathological processes (see "ABOUT US"). We work aggressively with insurance companies to help alleviate the financial burdens that people experience when faced with the types of problems that require evaluation. When insurances do not cover our evaluations, we have some of the lowest prices available for Neuropsychological testing in greater Massachusetts, this despite the expert level of care and the extreme level of compentence of our staff. Finally, we truly believe in the concept of serving others, and we attempt to make each person who comes to our clinic feel like more than "just another number".
Please feel free to look around in the various pages of our website. The site is "under construction" and you will find many new additions to it over the next few weeks and months.
Neuropsychological Evaluation and Treatment of:
memory loss, dementia, head injury, TBI, brain injury, ADHD, LD, depression, anxiety.
Neuropsychological evaluations are the most detailed and thorough ways to make a diagnosis of problems with thinking or with dementia. They are the most sensitive method of detecting early dementia and problems with memory. They can determine how advanced your neurological problems are, can guide you and your doctor in your choice of treatments, and can help you answer important life questions, such as "Am I able to work", "Do I need medicines to help me", "Do I really have a problem or is it normal aging?". If you have a neurological illness or have suffered an injury to the head, testing can often document your difficulties and support your applications for disability or for accommodations at home, work or at school. It can help you make decisions about if you should downsize your home to a simpler way of life or if you are able to work as fully as before.
For students with ADHD or learning disabilities neuropsychological testing can document the need for you to receive appropriate school-based interventions to help you succeed in school.
If you are stressed, anxious or depressed the testing can determine the need for using medicines to help you with these problems.
